EPISODE 01

YOUR REAL GAME. UNDER REAL PRESSURE.

THE SET. Match Intelligence is an in-match performance assessment: how you actually compete under real scoring, pressure and decisions — not only how you hit in a controlled test. It is the assessment PERFORM adds, by an expert team, during your matches.

Not the usual level test

A typical tennis assessment happens under controlled conditions: the coach knows what feed is coming, the player knows what is being tested, and no real score is on the line. A match has an opponent, a score, a clock and decisions. THE SET. Match Intelligence does not only ask whether you can hit this ball; it asks how you use your game when the point matters.

Six core dimensions

  • Serve & Return — how you start the point, how you use the serve, and whether the return neutralises or creates an advantage.
  • Groundstroke Execution — consistency, depth, direction and execution under pressure.
  • Movement & Court Positioning — footwork, recovery, balance and where you stand.
  • Tactical Decision Making — shot selection, patterns, and when to attack, defend or change direction.
  • Competitive Execution — playing your own game when the score is tight and the momentum turns.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving — reading the opponent, solving problems, adjusting the game plan mid-match.

Who assesses you

An expert team of THE SET., on one rubric, watching your matches at the event. Doubles pairs are also observed on team positioning and coordination.
