Tournament rules and match format
Four-player or four-pair round robin. Three matches per entry. Each match has a 40-minute window and is one set to six games; at deuce one deciding point; at 5–5 a seven-point tiebreak.
Match format
- Round robin in groups of four players or four pairs.
- Three matches per entry.
- A match window of at most 40 minutes.
- One set to six games.
- At deuce, one deciding point.
- At 5–5, a seven-point tiebreak at once.
- Tiebreak: first to seven wins, no two-point margin.
- If the 40 minutes run out before the match ends, the player or pair leading at that moment wins under the tournament rules.
Why a tiebreak at 5–5
Six courts over two days need every match on time. A tiebreak at 5–5 keeps a long match from pushing the order of play, while a close game is still decided under real pressure.
Division management
THE SET. may merge neighbouring divisions when entries are too few, and may adjust a player by up to 0.5 level for competitive balance; players are told through the event's own channels.
